Jean Phil’s Instagram went dark, then came back

At 06:00 UTC on October 16, 2026, Findra’s daily check of Jean Phil asked Instagram for the @jean_philanthrope profile and was told it was unavailable. The same check found his TikTok and X accounts up as usual.

Two hours later, at 08:07 UTC, his X account explained. The Instagram account had been “temporarily suspended after receiving a large number of reports.”^{Source 1} The post said the team was already in touch with Instagram and that the account would be restored, and it ended with “Oui Madame.”^{Source 1}

It was restored the same day. When Findra looked again in the afternoon, the profile was back, showing 243,000 followers.^{Source 2}

What is not known

The post does not say who sent the reports or what they claimed, and Findra found no statement from Instagram about the suspension.^{Source 1} It came a day after the Austrian paper Der Standard called Jean Phil “nichts als ein dreister Krypto-Betrug”, nothing but a brazen crypto fraud, over the $JEANPHIL meme coin his accounts promoted.^{Source 3} Whether the two are connected is not on the record.
